Since the beginning, we have always designed and manufactured our products ourselves. Being a manufacturer, facing the challenges of production, means acquiring essential expertise to guarantee quality and innovation. And it is thanks to our many years of experience that we have become a reference in the field of technology and the development of new standards.
Our original factory is located in Vienne, in the département of Isère, France. On three levels, we produce 50% of the ropes we sell in the world. These products ‘Made in France’ include the vast majority of our dynamic ropes such as the Intensive Line and Mountain Line models. But also our specialized ropes, especially those for tree trimming work. We are proud to have kept this know-how in France, in the Pierre BÉAL workshop. It was named in honor of our founder who loved above all to be in contact with men and machines.
This is the nickname of the building we have occupied since 1991. Built at the end of the 19th century, it was given this name because of its imposing size for its time.
In 2006, we decided to open a second factory near Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar. A carbon copy of our first Viennese workshop, we also transposed our manufacturing processes to guarantee strictly identical quality. From an initial 3,000 m², we quickly expanded to a 12,000 m² factory to manufacture Active Line ropes and the majority of semi-static models. It is also on this site that we chose to set up our sewing workshop. BÉAL lanyards, rings and harnesses are thus the result of the unique know-how of our Madagascan employees.
